Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in delivering financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business performance.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing detailed analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support growth and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions
  • Partner with department heads to provide financial guidance and insight
  • Support strategic initiatives, including investment appraisals and cost optimisation
  • Improve reporting processes and drive automation where possible
  • Present financial data and recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a financial analysis or similar role
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with non-finance teams
